Texture Table - This project was developed in collaboration with the CEO of the Children's Furniture Company. There were several rounds of product testing with pre-school children to find the best solution. My concept for the activity table was inspired by rubbings of leaves and other nature items I made as a child. On the surface of the table there are rows of tiles that depict nature, animal prints, and abstract shapes embossed in plastic. This is perfect for clay impressions or crayon rubbings.
Where do you wear yours? - The travel satchel was designed in collaboration with two fellow design students and a local product design company. We were inspired by the traditional use of the balance method to carrying items. This two pocket bag is connected by an adjustable strap and can be worn in many different ways.
Exploring the Craft - These are furniture pieces I have made, designed specifically for my lifestyle. My designs include: an outside working table that is also a planter; a 25th anniversary memory box for my parents; a bench that mimics traditional woven seating.
Desktop Organizer - This three piece set can be assembled in different orientations to allow for greater flexibility. The product is made with aluminum sheet metal which is then powder coated to create a colorful product that can hold a variety of office items including pens, tape, papers, and pins.
