Fall 2011 | 3rd Year | Laurel Lake Retirement Community
This project had its own set of challenges to overcome. The students were asked to design a given space into a psychiatric and internal medicine doctors' office for a retirement community. We were able to visit Laurel Lake and take note of different design solutions that were implicated in the spaces.
Concept:
The design concept of this particular project came from the geode. From the rough dirty exterior to the shiny interior, the aspects of the geode can be seen from the floor plan to the material choices.
