The plan - Belur, being one of the richest in Hoysala Dynasty acrhitecture, is proposed to be marked as one of the heritage sites by UNESCO. The project brief specifies working with pre-selected distinguished old houses, to convert them partially or completely into commercial â€˜Homestayâ€˜. The project involves restoration and reconstruction of the space. The challenge is to design the space and furniture, conserving the traditional ambiance.
