The twister(it needs a new name....) - The blue pipes are made of soft materials to support user’s waist and neck, in order to let users relax and stay. Supported by three steel pipes installed into the ground and demonstrated a fascinating style. Suitable for different user height.

Symbolism of Wheelchair - As my grandmother gets older , its more challanging for her to go out with us. We suggested her to use a wheelchair, but she refused like everyone else. Wheelchairs, these days, had became a icon of sickness and disablilty, which gives people a very unpleasent impression. I tried to design a wheelchair with a new look in order to get rid of the unpleassent symbolism, so that the elderly and some weak (but not disable) person can take advantage of such useful tool.

The Bowl (Award Winning Rice Cooker Design) - ???????????,??? Bringing semantic symbol to the rice cooker, combining the object we used to cook rice and the object we use to contain rice by making the rice cooker into a rice bowl style. Simple and focus, there’s no unnecessary buttons or function, making it easy to use. Steam exhaust port hid in the top ring gap.

Humanistic concerned trashcan - There are a group of people in China who picks up empty bottles and selling them to recycle organizations to earn some money and survive. Honestly, it’s a good thing for both the city’s sanitation and the environment. But on the other hand, digging trashcans is something unpleasant to see. I tried to solve that problem by designing platforms around a trashcan for people to put their bottles on, in order to help this certain kind of group instead of refusing them.

Model making of the environmental perspective monitor - The monitor was designed with materials such as glass, aluminum and recycled paper which are more environment-friendly.

Blood+ - The name Blood+ has three meanings: the “+” is a symbol of medication; as a blood pump, it “adds blood”; correspond the Red Cross navigation button. During investigation, we found out that the medical-units don’t need certain devices. But due to the policy in China, Medical-units have to purchase new equipments every year. This leads to a result that this device does have its market. It’s way easier to install the blood pipe and operate the device than any other current product.

Interactive system with transparent display - Taking advantage of the beautiful view of the Dong-Lake, this system can provided certain entertainment functions with finger gesture and navigations throughout the screen. Nearby information and education functions are also provided.

Theme designs for iPhone - I can hardly find a template of the iPhone during mid 2007, so I spent 3 hours and made one.

Advertising for ARROW’s Sanitary Ware - Different people showing their passion about the Sanitary Ware brand in exaggerating ways. Look closely to the lower box the mailman is holding. Due to lack of real package box, I drew the post office label and the tape by hand, and wrote funny things on the label as a joke. ???????????????????

Web page design for Wuhan University - Trying to bring ease of use to the school website. Bringing traditional Chinese culture to the design in order to demonstrate the history and the cultural antecedents of Wuhan University.

Interior of Campus bus for Wuhan University. - Bring openness to the school bus so that people can benefit from the wonderful natural environment of Wuhan University, and meantime has a special light effect.

Huang Gai styled Helmet Design - Facial make-up is a special element in traditional Chinese opera; it identifies the character and demonstrates its personality. I found it interesting combining facial make-up with modern helmet designs.

Bite Me - The logo is for companies which prefer copying Apple to trying innovating. The tone is provocative yet you can do nothing about it. If you do bite it, it will become “a real Apple”. Just for fun.

The Speaker Bear/ Self-portraits - These drawings are done during chats on instant message software. So it has to be fast, intuitive, and related with the conversation. I also rule to draw myself whatever I’m wearing that exact moment. The Speaker Bear an interesting piece. My friend and I were playing a game: draw strokes in turns and make what each other drew into something different. And we created this character as a result. I further use it during IM chats, and it became popular among our friends.
