My master’s project focused on improving our understanding of guitar playability, the factors that affect it, and overall outcomes for the playability of future guitars. As a result of literature and user research, modular guitar neck switching system was developed as a time- and cost-efficient method of testing out different neck shape profiles on a single guitar body in order to determine how each profile affected playability.
