A Tribute to Eadweard Muybridge
One of the founding fathers of film, Muybridge searched for ways to capture the movement of living beings. This 16mm film was created in using experimental methods to honor the explorations of Muybridge. The 16 original frames of Muybridge's 'Horse and Rider' were the inspiration for this 16mm film loop which was created digitally, then printed on transparency sheets and applied to film manually using a contact printer.
