A small explosion - Lauren was kind enough to strike some ridiculous poses with a toothbrush in hand for this. It's actually the first in a three-part series of people exploding. This was the bloodiest (and my favorite) explosion.
Superverse no. 1 - For this series of five (I've posted three), I photographed strangers on a cold, wet day in Chicago, and imagined an alternate universe where everyone has some kind of super power. It sounds hokey, but the result was a strange place indeed.
Superverse no. 2 - I love this particular piece in the series because these city women are almost posed as if they were superheroes arranged on the cover of a comic book.
Superverse no. 3 - Another favorite in this series of five manipulations. Though I was never quite content with the appearance of the wings, I love the composition of this photo, the look on the girl's face, and her pose. In fact, it was incredibly blustery and Michigan Ave. was a wind tunnel, making it very difficult and very painful to keep walking.
