This was an interesting project we did for a fire fighter. I worked closely with Lucas, our mokume metal smith, to create this beautiful engagement ring. It is a mix of rose gold and mokume. Mokume gane is an ancient Japanese forging art. The process forges different precious metals together to create this beautiful pattern. The metals used here were silver and palladium. Mokume gane translates to English as "wood-grain metal" for obvious reasons.
