Urðarbrunnur Live/Work Residences

Urðarbrunnur is a well in Norse mythology. The well is beneath the world tree Yggdrasill and is nursed by three witches; Urður, Verðandi, and Skuld. They sit by the well, wrapped in grey wraps with their faces hidden. Urður is the oldest and represents the past, Verðandi represents the present, and Skuld, who's the youngest, represents the future. This witch trio has unlimited controls over the fate of people and the gods.
Urðarbrunnur Live/Work Residences are meant to bring together artists and the local people in Djúpivogur and to be a well of creativity for the area.
Each residence has three levels that go from being public to private. The lowest level is the studio, with an option to open out to the shared coutyard of Ægisdjúp Cultural Center. The next level is the living space and kitchen/dining with a sofa-well that is well-suited for collaborating ideas. The second floor is the most private space, with the master bedroom and master bathroom.
