Insectable - Table Prototype

Insectable Table Prototype - Scale Model
3D Printed in Gypsum and ABS Plastic
8" x 8" x 5"

Designed for the Philadelphia Museum of Art 2013 Collab Student Design Competition "Table It", and it was selected to be exhibited in the museum following the competition.
Insectable is an interactive museum-like workspace for young children that is inspired by nature and the design of children's museum exhibits. Children are encouraged to interact with the natural environment surrounding them, catching insects and taking wildlife specimens from outside of their homes and observing them while they work at their table. All of the insect-catching materials are included in the model.
