Vilcek Awards - Sagmeister hired Gamil to develop a consistent and
cost-effective production process for the yearly creation of the Vilcek Prize. Each trophy is a unique form stemming from the prizewinner’s name. Gamil used design and engineering expertise to revise a fragile initial design with a unique mathematical model. Gamil also changed the materials, using laser processing and nickel plating on the piece. Awarded by AIGA 365/28.
