Reconstruct

Reconstructing a man’s wear to a woman’s wear. I use a previously owned men's pants to create a new little black dress. Instead of ripping off all the original sewing seams, I try to keep the seams as many as possible, and adding darts to make it fit. This way can have me have a better understanding of how darts are created by draping, and the amount of fabric of man’s pants. The man’s pants are made from 100% wool, so I feel it is good to make a formal way, like the little black dress for woman. The most classical work must be the one that Audrey Hepburn wore in the tiffany's breakfast; it is made by Givenchy. Due to the limitation of the fabric I make a short form of it and add a big bow tie at back to make it cutter.
