K-4 grade elementary school in newington, ct. the images comprise of interior architecture, design, furniture design and specification. the metaphor of a "sea world" was used to design the interior spaces. vibrant colors were used throughout not only to create a cheerful interior but intelligently to direct children to specific classrooms and areas
Stafford High School - interior architecture and design of a 129,352 sq.ft. high school renovation and addition. "fragments' of vibrant colors were used to formulate the interior design of the school. the corridors and specially their intersections are brightly colored to provide orientation and signify a node or meeting points. each zone of the school was given a dedicated color, represented on the flooring and wall accents. the colors merge at the nodes similar to high energy particles colliding
New Britain High School - lecture hall building addition to existing high school. materials used on the exterior are precast concrete panels,brick veneer and stucco covered metal panels. on the interior vinyl wall coverings, stained wood trim, low VOC paints and broadloom carpet were used

Mary Hooker Environmental Studies Magnet School - K-8 LEED Gold project in hartford, ct. the school program called for an eco-pond, terrariums and small tropical plants in the main lobby. the space was designed to allow maximum penetration of sunlight, and had a strictly controlled environment. the media center design proposal is organic and has multiple floating soffits and ceilings. the book stacks radiate from the center of the circulation desk for uninterrupted vision for the supervisor, creating a dynamic organization within the space
Stafford Elementary School - interior design of a 83,161 sq.ft. K-4 grade elementary school, in stafford, ct. stairwells on each corner of the building were painted a specific bright color for orientation. small houses (representing the concept of "it takes a village to educate a child") as drawn by children were created for the flooring at the node of each intersecting corridor. accent colors were painted at the back wall of each classroom
