Kindergarten for Staten Island

A school for children should not only educate through rote but through physical activity. The childlike experience of life as a series of fractured moments inspired the fractured morphology of both the interior and exterior architecture. Given a dynamic site in Staten Island, the building is engaged on multiple levels to take on and enhance a child’s energy
and imagination. Seamless integration of a challenging landscape creates a fun environment in which to enrich the spirit and body.
