Living Core Aquarium
The Living Core serves as a case study of how nature works. A series of ‘vessels of life’ bring living exemplars of the animals and habitats here for the visitor’s closer inspection, aided by the tools of science and technology – intellectual as well as practical tools. These tools, delivered through the examples provided by real scientists and real research, allow visitors to ‘zoom in’ on details and basic concepts that prompt questions and aid understanding, and ‘zoom out’ to provide broader contexts, including connections between natural habitats and human activities, and economic impacts and implications of these connections.
