SolidWorks CAD-render of the silver spoon. Made of sterling silver. Rounded edges and shape suitable for small children.
I borrowed different baby spoons to measure the dimensions. I visited several high-end stores to view their collection of silver spoons. The price is ranged from 1000-2000 DKK, and I wanted to create a spoon that is cheaper to buy for the customer.

Many of the spoons I saw had shapes and symbols on them. I eventually decided to keep the design clean.

I used shapeways.com to upload my CAD-file of the spoon. I selected the preferred material, and it give me a price. Shapeways 3D-prints molds that are used to cast my silver spoon. The silver cost is 317 DKK and the handling fee is 430 DKK. That gives a total of 747 DKK, which is fairly under 1000-2000 DKK for other silver baby spoons. Therefore I had completed my goal of producing a silver spoon for under 1000 DKK
