Mystics — Saint Teresa of Jesus and Saint John of the Cross, light in the Golden Age

A reflection on mysticism in the history of culture through two universal figures: Saint Teresa of Jesus and Saint John of the Cross.
The catalog was conceived as a volume that shows its insides. The content is divided into two parts. The first reflects on mysticism and art, through a series of articles by various authors. The second part shows the works of the exhibition commented along five thematic areas. In the design, these two parts share many features of layout, but they differ mainly typographically and in the treatment of spaces, more comfortable for reading in articles and much more visual in the commentaries of the pieces exhibit.
The exhibition took place between the months of October 2018 and January 2019 in the old church of Compañía de Jesús, located in Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia), within the framework of the activities programmed for the 2017 Jubilee Year. In it, the mystic was investigated through the works of great masters of Spanish and universal painting.
