The hard resin parts produced by Polyjet 3D printing have a similar quality to Bakelite--a material commonly used for making colorful bracelets (among other things) in the 1940s-1960s. This observation inspired me to apply the modern technology of 3D printing to this classic, yet timeless, fashion accessory.
