The project brief for Vivere was quite tricky, as each student pulled a name of a well known designer out of a hat with one of their iconic designs and had to use it as inspiration for their design. There were for options of product directions to go with, i went with: An object that can hold beverages in a living area in other words, a coffee table.

The designer that I pulled from the hat was Naoto Fukasawa and the project that I had to find inspiration from was his CD player.

In my design you will notice the very light colours, the wood, the rounded edges, the form follows function, it is simplistic and elegant. These are the key characteristics taken from Fukasawa.
