METRIC
METRIC is an experimental film about the birth of an idea.
Ideas start out as small bursts of synaptic energy in the mind. They are sculpted by complex variants such as memories, sights, sounds, taste, smells, colors, and more.
For this animation, I tried to imagine the idea as a digital machine-like form comprised of oscillating layers expanding through a mysterious noir-like space. The darkness beyond could potentially be a fear of the unknown. Since an idea is born from energy, the light it emits guides it through the unknown as it solidifies.
