Punk Wedding - My design collection during my final semester at the National Institute of Fashion Technology in 2003. The fabrics were leather coated for the 'punk feel'. The accessories were rexine wristbands with rivettes punched in them with boots - both designed by me. One of the tops is a bustier made of steel wires weldes together. The collection consistes of 6 ensambles designed and constructed by me. I was awarded 'Best Ramp Appeal' for my collection.
What lies beneath - Project for Meltin' Pot. - "what lies beneath" is the name of the concept inspired by 'subways', that is, the art and architecture of the subways. This project was done for an Italian clothing brand called "meltin' pot". I designed a series of prints and denimwear along with trims such as buttons and labels. The label designs were inspired by the subway tickets getting punched. The pockets have a more rounded look which has been taken from the circles indicating the stops on the subway map.
Internship 2002 - During my course at NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology), I did a 10 week internship under one of India's leading designers , Ms. Ritu Beri and developed a small range to her pret line for spring-summer 2002. I designed 4 indo-western ensambles using design elemets like dying, layering, asymmetrical cuts and sequined embroidery
'What lies beneath' - preliminary sketches and print designs before construction - these are the rest of the designs for my master thesis with Meltin' Pot during my course at Domus Academy, 2004.
