institute of Australia’s award of Merit.
Chief Cast Collection - A range of cast Aluminium Teflon coated cooking pans with glass lids, timber steel and phenolic fittings.
Street & Park Boulevard Range - This range of furniture was awarded the design institute of Australia’s Highest award“Merit”. The furniture is designed to be used in public spaces, it is constructed from cast metal, glass reinforced epoxy, Australian timbers and can be finished
polished or powder coated.
Tasmore Novo Range - This award winning range of patented door furniture is constructed from Zinc die cast, plastic and Stainless Steel components. ARID was responsible for all aspects of design and development from concept to point of sale including product engineering, Assembly instructions and promotional brochures.
Axeze Keyless Entry - The Axeze Keyless Entry can be easily fitted to most domestic and commercial doors. ARID designed and specified all mechanical and visual components including instructions packaging and corporate identity. The custom
electronics were designed tested under our close supervision. The Axeze Keyless Entry was awarded the Design Institute of Australia’s award of Merit
Comfort Breeze Eclipse & Summit - The brief was for the design and specification of all mechanical and visual components for two ranges of evaporative air conditioners. ARID produced the design and all tooling of the products as well as designing the machinery & factory to build the products.
Brivis Climate Control - The brief was for the design and specification of all mechanical and visual components for acontrol unit for heating and cooling both domestic and commercial premises. Distribution was to be Australia-wide and in the US through Brivis Climate Systems.
Tecalmit Hosereel - The brief for this award winning product was for the styling, model making, material and finish specification. The product received the DIA award of merit and impressed the company by trebling sales.
Air operated grease & oil pump - The brief for this project included product styling, model making, material and finish specification. ARID also produced instruction manuals and training videos.
Smart Card Reader - The brief was for the design and specification of all mechanical and visual components for a smart card reading module for use in vending machines. Distribution was primarily in the USA with a small amount of product distributed in New Zealand.
Demonstrator For Spectacle Lenses - The first in a number of lens coating demonstrating products. ARID was required to design and manufacture this
product demonstrator to assist in the promotion of a revolutionary new lens coating. The product was used worldwide including Paris, London, Sydney and Beijing.
Battery Operated Forklifts - The Boa & Conda electric forklifts have received a DIA design award. ARID continues to work with OSKO to design & develop an increasing product range.
Portable tig & stick electric welder - ARID was responsible for the design, development, coordination with manufactures and electronic engineers.The product required the design of sheet metal plastic and extruded aluminium components. The rugged appearance and construction was appealing to workshop fabrication welders and site construction steel fabricators.
Carl Zeiss Ophthalmic instrument - ARID was commissioned to research and recommend a methodology to enable objective assessment of a customer’s eye movements. That could be applied to design a tool to help the processes of prescribing
presbiotic lenses. The resulting i-Tracker has been awarded the DIA award of Merit.
Packaging For TPC In Vitro Pipettes - Briefed to design protective packaging for the fragile glass pipettes. Used during In Vitro fertilization (test tube babies). ARID designed a colour coded, single part injection moulded polyethylene container that safely supports and protects the fragile pipette during all stages of sterilization & transport.
Ai2 Microbric Robotic Toy - This programmable construction toy was designed and developed in Australia. ARID commissioned & supervised the tooling and production in China.
The brief was for the design and specification of all mechanical and visual components for a control unit for bench top electric cooking appliances. The design from concept to finished prototype were done in Australia, the product tooling testing and production were completed in China.
