Senior Thesis

For my senior design thesis I chose to study pediatric prosthetics and develop a means for the prosthetic to grow with the child. I quickly discovered through multiple conversations with doctors, prostheticians, and manufacturers that the difficulty in fitting children stems from the simultaneous growth of their limbs both in length and circumference. The final design is a 3D printed solution that merges a custom fit with standard off-the-shelf components to accommodate the three dimension growth of patients' residual limbs.
