A fictional newsletter for the fictional poetry festival.
The liberated mamal, a play on the ideas in "all watched over by machines of loving grace" this one was fun, coming up with fictional sensationalist headlines based on some of the poems we had to choose from. four articles are the postcards and the header is the bookmark, printed and perforated, presented as a poster that could be torn off for the intended purpose. Double sided.
one of the postcards made from a collage based on the poem Of Mutability by Jo Shapcott
Using a print gone wrong design for this one using the text of the poem "Of Mutability" to illustrate the card, the idea is that the mutability is in the printing process as well.
Spring Chill Poetry Festival, one of the fictional names I made up based on the poem "Of Mutability", again with use of the printing gone wrong motif, I quite like it, especially in the context of a literary event based on printed material.

I did a couple of postcards and bookmarks with variations of this design, the words typed onto circles or arcs.
bookmark, the background is an abstract painting on a book page, blown up and pixelated.

Graphics brief , postcards to promote a poetry festival

We were tasked with creating a set of four postcards and one bookmark for a fictional poetry festival. we designed a series of mixed media and collage pieces and then worked them into the final designs either in part or whole, I have come up with a few different design themes here and fictional festival names based on lines in the poem "Of Mutability". Here are a few of my designs for this brief.
