Electric Guitar Design

I wanted to design a guitar that looked and felt different than guitars that are already out there. What is neat about this guitar design is that it curves to the contour of the leg, and rests on the player comfortably. The body is also cut at a slight angle for the arm to reach the strings easily. The process started with a SolidWorks model. That model was then cut out of foam using a CNC router. After a few changes were made, I moved to the final model. The body was made of mahogany, the neck was made of maple, and the fretboard was made of walnut. The body was painted and then coated with a clear lacquer finish, as well as the neck, and the fretboard was coated with a black dye.
