Final Board - The design is a metaphorical representation of the social, natural, and physical mix of New Orleans. The schools singular masses represent the different ethnic groups that first inhabited New Orleans. The masses intertwine with each other making one building as the different ethnicities made the Creole culture. Passages from the Mississippi River introduce the natural environment into the building. The history of the riverbank is remembered by using the existing warehouse structure.
