I was tasked with creating the first Infinity Edge notebook with this industry changing light weight notebook. We transformed this category by introducing this notebook 3 years ago. It has been one of the most successful notebooks created for Dell. This system sells not only in the consumer space but also sells in the commercial space. We were able to achieve this by allowing this to ship with the Dell bios. This allows the IT professional the capability of applying a proper business image for their management. We recognized that todays work space is transforming and business leaders do not want to carry “their Dads” laptop. We wanted to bring more Daniel Craig into the workplace less Dr Phil. By doing this we had to work with panel suppliers in creating a unique panel for this product. We also gave this system a first class CMF by using an industry first carbon fiber with forged and machined aluminum.
