In the associated blog post, which I wrote shortly after the German IfSG was changed in spring 2022 and the mask mandates were abolished, I explain why I think that this is not right – and why it is so important to continue wearing a mask in public spaces the vulnerable can’t avoid, such as transportation, doctor’s offices, authorities, shops, school and work, even if it is not mandatory.
