Suddenly it Turns Out I Drew a Unicorn Toy Once
Because I did some work on a children's book for a client some time ago, that's why. Drawing horror and cute stuffed animals, if that's not a wide range, I don't know what is.

This is an illustration I did for a children's book maybe a year ago. I was hesitant to upload this as the book isn't finished yet, but it seems this project will be discontinued. I did enjoy the project, it gave me an opportunity to work on detailed, but rather more stylized artwork than I do most of the time( also quite a bit less gory and horror-y than I often do).

This is an illustration I for a children's book, which is probably quite obvious from the excessive sweetness of the whole thing. If I remember correctly, I also was working on some monsters with their guts out for another project on the same day I finished this. I also sometimes inadvertently make the characters in these children's book illustrations look evil and don't notice before having that pointed out to me. I wonder if these two things have anything to do with each other?

Circus
I made this illustration a few months ago for a children's book. This sort of work is quite unfamiliar to me and not the sort of thing I usually do( I am not entirely sure how I got the job myself), but it's interesting to work on a wide range of projects and topics. With this in my portfolio I can now tell people that I have worked on everything, from children's books to drawing corpses and horror themed monsters( which is true).
The nice thing about this was that I didn't have to worry about realism much and was able to stylize quite a bit more than usual. Also this particular illustration contains a giraffe in a sweater on a bicycle, so that's a thing.
I am still slowly continuing work on this project, so I will probably upload more examples from this project some time in the future.
