Tai Chi

T’ai Chi Ch’uan is an ancient Chinese system of exercise practiced for
its health benefits and as a system of self-defense that emphasizes
softness and internal power.

Often called “meditation in motion,” T’ai Chi combines physical,
mental, and spiritual development, focusing and calming the mind, and
unifying the body.

It is practiced around the world by people of all ages; by athletes
and dancers to improve their balance and coordination; as a way of
preserving health among the elderly; and as the “supreme ultimate”
martial art.

At its highest level, it embodies the principles of the Tao and the
wisdom of the East.
