Transitional Living Room

This client had a long list of design problems to tackle. Functionally, she wanted to redo an entertaining space that featured a lot of unique angles and tight paths of travel while still keeping it open and welcoming. She also planned on moving in the future and wanted furniture that could transition easily when she moved and was more modern than her current traditional style, but that still matched the rest of her existing furniture. I selected lower back sofas and swivel chairs to help the space feel more open and to offer the seating she desired while maintaining sufficient egress. I also used some more modern silhouettes with warmer colors to match the traditional design and finishes of the rest of the home.
