Wubball is made up of two halves which when joined together make a soft stool.
Both halves can come apart. The protruding feet on the base lock into the holes on the opposite base. The feet are longer than the holes so there is always a gap between both bases to prevent finger trapping.
Single half.
Using the jigsaw mechanism around the base, multiple wubball halves can be locked together to create a number of shapes. This allows the user to customise their reading/sitting environment.

children's reading - wubball

This is a university project. My brief was to design a product that would encourage children to want to read and enjoy the experience of reading more. The product was aimed at Key Stage 1 pupils (5 - 7 years).

The final design is called 'Wubbal' and being exhibited at New Designers in London (2nd -5th July 2014).
