M.A.C.S.S- Motion Activated Cyclist Safety System, designed to improve the experience of cycling in the year 2030.

A sensor married to a hologram lighting unit that is motion activated by the cyclist to increase their presence and prevent accidents. Placed close to the edge of the road, MACSS creates a virtual cycle lane where there isn’t one. This is particularly relevant in cities where cyclist deaths are high due to vehicles turning when a cyclist is in their blind spot.

Using seismic energy generated by the rumblings of traffic and stored within an internal battery, MACSS is self-sustaining and durable.

The holograms that project will provide a dramatic increase in visual presence for the cyclists.
