The Balch Hotel approached me to create an illustration for a postcard for them. They are out near the high dessert in Oregon, in a beautiful historic building. The area has so much more to offer than most people know about. The owner felt that my style of illustration could depict the personality of the hotel and the surrounding area. I took the photos and created the illustration.
The Heathman Hotel saw my Portland, OR Illustrations and wanted something similar for their hotel. The hotel has so much personality and so much to offer that they liked the idea that they could depict all of it with my illustration. Even at that, they have so many great features that three cards were chosen to print.
