In this project, we were given a preexisting building. This building is a hotel in Europe located in Latvia called Dzintari. The requirements for this project was to redesign the hotel lobby, restaurant located within the hotel, as well as the hotel rooms and suites. We also had to incorporate ADA regulations throughout the building as well as keeping our measurements in metric.
CONCEPT:
Latvia is full of life and has beautiful landscapes. This inspired the idea to design something that would bring nature to life in an art form. The “Eco Art” movement is a form of environmental design that takes art making to a functional format. Eco art helps create an intuitive appreciation of the environment as well as seeing it as an art form. By combining art and nature as one, it creates an appealing design vision.
