Excellence in Business Awards 2006 - Invitation created for the SF Chamber's premier annual event (also known as The Ebbies). The event tagline is "View the Ordinary, See the Extraordinary." For the design, inspiration came from the idea of seeing a single object in multiple ways (up close, the viewer sees dots; and from further away, he sees a rose).
CityTrip NYC Delegate Binder - Each year the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce takes a group of delegates to a city similar in size and economy to San Francisco to view best practices. Prior to departure for CityTrip, each of the delegates receives a binder of materials which includes articles and research on the key areas of focus, agenda, delegate bios and sponsor pages. The look for CityTrip New York was bright and vibrant with black and white photos highlighting the city sights.
CityGolf 2005 - Each year the SF Chamber hosts a golf tournament, dinner and live auction for members and guests. The event serves as both fundraiser—through both a live and silent auction—as well as a networking opportunity. The invitation featured shots of the golf course and the tagline “Bring Your Game, Improve Your Network.”
Event Portal - setup within the San Francisco Chamber's main website, the event portal provides an opportunity to link to the current Chamber event as well as the next four upcoming events. These preview images link to mini sites for the individual events to provide event updates, speaker profiles, and sponsorship opportunities.
San Francisco Rising - The SF Chamber chose the theme “San Francisco Rising” for its annual luncheon to commemorate the past and the city's rise from the devastation of the 1906 earthquake but to also focus on where the city is heading. The invitation hints at the history with a vellum overlay featuring three photos from 1906, lifting to reveal the modern rebirth and recovery of the same scenes. The interior, printed in metallic gray, is clean and modern with photos of the city’s rising skylines and new leadership.
Your Voice - invitation to an exclusive post-election reception hosted by the 21st Century Committee (the political action committee of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce); event featured Mayor Gavin Newsom.
SFCED Biotech Campaign - The San Francisco Center for Economic Development (SFCED) works to promote thriving economic climate by attracting and retaining businesses in San Francisco and promoting a business friendly environment. This campaign, consisting of an 18x24 full-color poster and an 11x17 brochure, was created to focus specifically on the biotechnology industry, its birth in San Francisco and the new developments at the University of California San Francisco facilities at Mission Bay.
WIBR Promotional Cards - The Women in Business Roundtable (WIBR) is one of the San Francisco Chamber’s most successful series. This self-promotion piece, referred to as the “quote cards,” are distributed to provide attendees with the WIBR mission, benefits and general information about this professional women’s group. The front of each card contains one of twelve different designs incorporating an inspirational quote from a successful female in history.
Members' Website - Created to extend the benefits of Chamber members, this mini-site provides the membership with exclusive content including access to the Chamber's CEO as well as the Board of Directors.
BASHOF Enshrinement Banquet Invitation - Invitation to the 26th Annual Enshrinement Banquet for the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame (BASHOF), a subsidiary of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. (Piece was printed 1/1 in metallic ink.)
Dinner at the Dumps Invitation - Each year, Leadership San Francisco (LSF) hosts its annual fundraising event at the headquarters of Norcal Waste Management. The event had always been referred to as “Dinner at the Dumps,” but never officially. It seemed appropriate and obvious to adopt this as the theme. The materials for the event were designed using distressed, “trashed” type and printed on recycled paper. The floral illustrations lend the event an ironic twist of sophistication.
Excellence in Business Awards 2005 - Invitation created for the SF Chamber's premier annual event (known to most as The Ebbies). The design was influenced by the celebratory spirit of the awards.
