During my career I have been involved with Design, Engineering, R&D and Manufacturing on all levels, from beginning on a drafting table to working on the manufacturing floor to corporate management and now consulting/contracting work. I have worked for/with individuals and corporations on components, assemblies, products and plant layouts.
One of the huge advantages that I have always had is my knowledge of multiple industries and the ability to leverage technologies between them. Just because a particular component or technology was developed for a given industry does not mean that it cannot be used elsewhere.
