Waffle House Poster
This poster design was inspired from a historic genre of graphic design known as the Glasgow School of Art. This style was the predecessor and primary contributor to the Art Nouveau movement.
The Glasgow School’s style was earmarked by elongated forms, sinuous lines, rich hues and blending the image border within the image. With this direction leading my approach, I shifted Waffle House’s nostalgic aesthetic to channel the warmth and imagery of the morning sun and a fresh waffle to bring a new dawn to this iconic breakfast diner. The borders reference the blue ribbon quality of their breakfast and atmosphere.
