Gioco Oil and Vinegar Tray
Gioco is an interactive, playful, and social way to enjoy an oil and vinegar appetizer. We saw the need to combine this popular appetizer that normally utilizes two or more dishes, into a single tray that unifies the users eating experience. The opportunity to showcase the natural separation properties of the oil and vinegar presents the chance for the tray to work as a conversational piece at the table. The form of the tray, which is influenced by topographical designs, addresses this. We used a thermo-vacuum forming process using a mold, as well as an extensive ideation and sketch modeling process to achieve this form.
