It Takes Time

It Takes Time is another game that was designed and created in one week for the prototyping class I took. This game was built in Stencyl, which is a very limited visual coding based game development tool. I set up the scene architecture for this game, and helped design the concept with the rest of the team. I also wrote the entire script for the game. The game developed into more of an interactive narrative, with a story focused on a woman who recently lost her father. He left her a watch, which every time she clicks on it, she sees a picture of her packing up her desk at the end of the week. There had been rumors of layoffs, so she fears it's a sign that she will lose her job. As she goes through the five days of the week, she also goes through the five stages of grief as she mourns her father's death. On Friday, she learns that she is actually being promoted, and completes her stages of grief as well. The game can be downloaded by clicking on the "View Website" link below.
