MoDu
MoDu is a modular equipment system designed to address the urban housing crisis and the logistical stress of frequent relocation in Argentina. By shifting the ownership of essential furniture from the tenant to the architecture, MoDu maximizes small footprints in studio apartments while providing a high-quality, fixed infrastructure. The system features a ceiling-mounted retractable bed that preserves social space during the day, alongside mobile functional totems that act as room dividers and customizable storage units. Inspired by high-density living in Tokyo and New York, the design ensures a psychological separation between work, leisure, and rest within a limited surface area. Through integrated hybrid furniture and durable materials, MoDu transforms a single room into a multi-functional habitat, blending spatial efficiency with long-term architectural integration to redefine the modern experience of micro-living.
