It's kid Night! Pull out your footie pajamas, find some funny cartoons and enjoy some seafood! I love making this dish, it's always so fun. Blue macaroni waters, corn edges for sand and a slivered hot dogs for a friendly squid!
The hardest challenge is chocolate molding. It snaps, or melts, it burns; but when done properly it looks astounding as a finished product. Cute milk chocolate boxes are perfect for event center pieces, holiday gifts or just a well-earned gift for yourself.
Ah, the life and times of a culinary student. Best cake ever, to make. There is 3 layers of meriengue inside, not to count the layers of chocolate mouse! It's coated in ganache and topped with a marzipan rose. Yum!
Fraisier. That's what my Chef called it during school. I call it a Strawberry Shortcake. Light buttercream surrounding a sponge-like genoise, with fresh strawberries in every bite! This is Perfection in these Texas summers. (By the way: It's topped with a pale green marzipan and two blooming marzipan roses. Yum, more sugar!)
Top view. Those are chocolate designs.
Just a side view.
Indulge! Molded nuggatine (As my chef called it. I often refer to it as peanut brittle) a molded cylinder of pastry cream covered by a larger cylinder of dark chocolate. Notice, there is also a decorative drizzle of raspberry puree to the side. This is the perfect "nuts and berries" dessert.
Favorite thing about ice cream? Making your own! Freshly made orange sorbet inside a hollowed out orange, topped with a few chocolate decorations.
College Delights! A thin rectangle of nuggat, layered with a larger rectagle of choclate (pudding in blocks, yum!) followed by raspberry macaroons with another nuggatine bar and three lovely raspberries.
I dabbled in Chocolate molding. This is just a thin chocolate chip with my school logo on it. Show some school spirit!
They tell you to do what you love and get paid for it, so here you go! A vanilla cupcake topped with a large amount of swirled buttercream decorated for the Christmas season! (P.S. craving a cupcake? Go to Gigi's Cupcakes!)
