I am currently the First Hand in the Costume Shop at Chicago Shakespeare Theater. While my core responsibilities are cutting and stitching, I often step into many other roles such as Costume Design Assistant, Shopper, Wardrobe Supervisor, Photoshoot Stylist and Dresser.

I am very versatile and ready to bring my skills to a new and exciting project.

o Work alongside the Draper to create garments based on the designers renderings and research o True patterns based on fittings notes o Cut mockups, fashion fabrics and linings o Stitch, alter and tailor costumes o Act as Costume Design Assistant for select shows o Style promotional photo shoots and work as wardrobe during shoots
Costume Shop Apprentice

o Assist designers in all facets: researching, swatching, shopping, pulling, etc. o Schedule, prepare and lead fittings in an organized manner while accommodating the needs of actors, drapers and designers o Record notes made by the designer, distribute to the correct departments and answer any questions that arise if the designer is unavailable o Work in the costume shop in various capacities: drafting, cutting, stitching, tailoring

o Aid Costume Shop Manager with daily tasks including fittings, rentals, photo shoots, scheduling, paper work, shop upkeep o Assist Costume Designers and Stylist with pulling, shopping and returns o Pattern, construct and alter costumes o Create costume plots for shows o Prepare costumes and wigs before each performance, maintain the garments throughout the run and tend to any emergency repairs during a show o Help actors with quick changes backstage and supervise dressers during each performance
