Suburban Farming (Oakland University)
For this project we had to use existing farming property that was located on the south east corner of the campus. The objective was to design a farming facility that could link the surrounding community, and the educational program at the university. My design has large front and center retail center to act as a " farmers market " with planter boxes for surrounding neighbors. The buildings are refurbished from the existing structures that are present into classrooms, and various growing rooms. It was important to bring the surrounding communities to the farmers market, so i designed a various of pathways to draw you to the center of the site.
