Cook Housing / a co-housing residence

A stimulating cohabitation between skilled workers and young students aiming at becoming professionals, both linked by the same passion: the world of food and culinary art.
This is the topic of Cook-Housing project, whose purpose is to convert an industrial building, situated in a little town near to Milan, into a co-housing residence.
The focus of the project is a big professional kitchen, heart and center of the house, where people explore and experience the food topic. The users’ different needs determined the level of sharing spaces in the rest of the house. The students’ area is designed like a total common location, while workers have more private accomodations, almost independent from the rest of the building.
Another melting pot of the house is the courtyard communicating with the kitchen thanks to a glass wall that can be opened: it functions as a light filter between the inside and the oustide.
