The purpose of this project, together with the others involved in the international charrette, is to increase the tourism opportunities throughout the whole year in the Iveragh Peninsula in Ireland, as the area is presently visited only a few days in August and nobody stay overnight as a one-day tour is sufficient to see all the attractions. The planetarium aims at celebrating the transcedent nature of the Iveragh Peninsula sky and is meant to be a new tourist attraction. Moreover, some accomodations, as well designed as little planetariums, integrate the project in order to give tourists a special occasion to spend a night in a magic place. All the buildings are connected each other by underground paths, the general layout being inspired by the Orion constellation’s shape.
