Toy's and their bright colors are not a relaxing sight nor are they a fun to pick up
Inspiration came mainly from what I viewed as fun but relaxing.
Drawing around one primary function to define a single handheld shower, creating calming functions for both parent and child
KEY CONCEPT #1 : This concept is meant to replicate the gentle pour of a cup used by caregivers while also allowing for the shower head to be used as a standard spray shower head. The center of the shower head could be turned to switch between the pouring and spraying functions.
KEY CONCEPT # 2: This concept stood out as an idea to remove the shower head from behind and put it in front of the user. The best place I realized, was to put it in front of the user and on the ground as a foot bath.
KEY CONCEPT #3: This concept was meant to be seen. By making the shower heads visible while they acted as a form of art. Each clip would resemble individual gems that would be shown on the shower wall to create something that would create calm and a sense of peace in the shower.
Unexpectedly a new problem was created by developing a family of forms with 4 shower heads
STUCK. I proceed to go back to the drawing board. As I was sketching I drew the tiniest and quickest of sketches and it was enough.
With the intent to tie everything together with a single curve. Each piece has the same curve as the dividing line between the materials.
In order to understand the sketched from. The decision was made to go to 3-d form to better understand the individual shower heads, as well as understanding how they would stack together. A secondary understanding of proportion and size was also realized upon prototyping.
Final Prototype Build
Each piece is dedicated to a specific purpose while simultaneously working to together with the handle to create a pleasant shower experience for the parent and fun experience for the child.
With Ometto, a parent can not only give a successful bath to a child but can relax using the shower heads made specifically for each. After use, they can be stacked neatly for storage.
By creating a Stacking stone figure, the shower heads are able to Be stored as something calming to look at.

Ometto in Italian references stacks of stone that resembles a “little man.” there have been many ways to use stone stacking as a way of art along with a path or on a beach. They are meant to symbolize balance and stillness.
Ometto shower heads are meant to make showering and bathing a relaxing and calming again. Creating an experience that both parent and children can appreciate. While also giving proper storage that is pleasant to look at it can be seen as a reminder to use them as well.
