Gianni Pasta - These are character designs I created for an Italian children's program.
The character description I was given is as follows:
Gianni is a bit clumsy. He always means well, but often his efforts go awry and hilarity ensues. He is very limber and knows a lot about sports and exercise.

Cute Animals - These are cute animals I designed to explore cute art styles for board books or soft cloth books for very young children. I wanted something simple, bright, and cute. I used the dry brush tool in photoshop to give them a soft painted look.

The Mermaid - This illustration was created for self-promotional purposes.
Here's my take on a mermaid and her seahorse friend. I was inspired by some Beta fish for the mermaid's fin color and pattern.
Also, I wanted to concentrate on making a full scene with a lot of distance and depth to the scene.

Little Red Helicopter - This illustration was created as a sample for a potential "Things That Go" book aimed at very young kids. The publisher asked that the vehicles not be characters with faces.
I chose to illustrate a helicopter because I think they are inherently cute. Hopefully I will get the job.
