Enjo ‘upcycling’

This was a project run by Monash studio 3 with ENJO manufacture. The project was about “upcycling” and how using 90 % ENJO products to create a new product that most people could make by them selves. My particular design was selected in the top 12 of the year level and displayed at the Design Made trade fair in 2010.
The product I created was design to cover the riggers on rowing boats in the rowing sheds in Melbourne. During this time I rowed 3 times a week and it was brought to my attention when in the rowing sheds that $10,000 racing boats were becoming damaged from every day use when being taking in and out of the boatsheds. This design Velcro’s around the riggers and also has suction cups that can cover the hulls of boats preventing deep scratches in the fibreglass. The design is made from ENJO gloves cut up to create a stuffing.
