Mechanical Design 2007

Robotic Lamprey - Working with a team of 3 other students, we conducted the mechanical design for a robotic lamprey fish currently under development by biologist Dr. Joseph Ayers of Northwestern University. The robot is actuated by nitinol wires attached to a flexible tail and small "fins" that mimic the gate of an actual lamprey.
